Requesting the appropriation of $100,000 from the Community Preservation Act Undesignated Fund to the Somerville Museum for unanticipated cost increases for the Elevator and Collection Storage projects.

To the Honorable City Council: Per the Community Preservation Committee’s recommendation, I respectfully request that your Honorable City Council appropriate $100,000 from the Community Preservation Act Fund Undesignated Fund to the Somerville Museum to cover unanticipated cost increases for their elevator and collection storage projects which previously received CPA funds. The appropriation will be allocated to the Historic Preservation CPA category. Details of this request are available in the attached funding recommendation from the CPC.
