Requesting acceptance of, and approval to expend, a $37,315 grant with no new match required, from the MA Department of Mental Health to the Police Department for the Jail Diversion Program.

To the Honorable City Council, I respectfully request that your Honorable City Council accept a grant of $37,315.00 from DMH to the Police Department, under the provisions of MGL Chapter 44, Section 53A. This grant does not require the commitment of new matching funds. The purpose of this grant is to pay for the Police Department's Jail Diversion Program.
