To meet this appropriation, the Treasurer will be authorized to borrow $4,545,827 as provided by MGL Chapter 44. Asset improvements in these efforts include, but are not limited to: mill and overlay of pavement, crack sealing of pavement, patch repair to pavement, resetting of curbs, placement of ADA-compliant concrete sidewalks, placement of ADA-compliant ramps, installation of ADA-compliant signal heads and beacons, and adjustments to drainage infrastructure and utility appurtenances required to complete the roadway work. This request is part of the FY23 Capital Investment Plan - General Fund as the recurring streets reconstruction item. This request will be supplemented by $1,209,520 of the City's Chapter 90 apportionment from the state as well as $500,000 from the General Fund. Appropriate staff will be available to answer any questions about this bond you may have. Thank you for your consideration of this matter. Respectfully, Katjana Ballantyne, Mayor
