Requesting approval to accept a gift valued at $3,594 with no new match required, of an evacuation chair from the Estate of Thomas F. Cahill to the Fire Department.

To the Honorable City Council: The Mayor respectfully requests that this Council accept and approve a gift of an evacuation chair valued at $3594.00 from the Estate of Thomas F. Cahill to the Fire Department, under the provisions of MGL Chapter 44, Section 53A. This grant does not require the commitment of any matching funds. The purpose of this gift is to provide the Fire Department with an updated piece of equipment to assist in the evacuation of patients from a building.
