Requesting approval to accept and expend a $25,600 grant that requires an in-kind match which is a portion of the Director's salary, to the Office of Emergency Management for emergency management and Fire Department supplies.

To the Honorable City Council: The Mayor respectfully requests that this Council accept and approve expending a grant of $25,600 from the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency, 2024 Emergency Management Performance Grant to the Office of Emergency Management, under the provisions of MGL Chapter 44, Section 53A. This grant requires some level of matching funds from the city. The purpose of this grant is to pay for Emergency Management and Fire Department supplies, equipment, and clothing. The match for this grant is an in kind match which is a portion of the directors salary. Appropriate staff will be available to answer any questions you may have.
