Requesting the appropriation of $300,000 from the Community Preservation Act (CPA) Fund to the CPA Open Space Land Acquisition Fund.

To the Honorable City Council: The Mayor respectfully requests that this Council appropriate $300,000 from the Community Preservation Act Fund, including $274,721 from the Open Space Reserve, and $25,279 from the Budgeted Reserve, to the CPA Open Space Land Acquisition Fund so that open space parcels can be acquired. The appropriation will be allocated to the Open Space and Recreational Land CPA category (Fund #3251). This item supersedes a previous authorization, 25-0057, due to a clerical error. The following funding conditions have been placed on the project: A perpetual conservation restriction will be recorded on all properties acquired with CPA funds per the requirement of the CPA enabling legislation.
