To the Honorable City Council: The Mayor respectfully requests that this Council accept and approve expending a Mosaic Municipal Matching grant of $30,000 from the RIZE Massachusetts Foundation, under the provisions of MGL Chapter 44, Section 53A. This grant requires a match of $30,000. The match will come from existing funds in the City Opioid Abatement Funds. The purpose of this grant is to pay for the deployment of public health vending machines represents a forward-thinking, practical solution that aligns with our commitment to public health and equality of access to health care resources.
