Requesting approval to accept and expend an $83,996.21 grant from Metro North Regional Employment Board to the Health and Human Services Department for the Mayor's Summer Jobs Program.

To the Honorable City Council: The Mayor respectfully requests that this Council accept and approve expending a grant of $83,996.21 grant from Metro North Regional Employment Board to the Health and Human Services Department, under the provisions of MGL Chapter 44, Section 53A. This grant requires partial matching funds which will be contributed by Groundwork Somerville for eligible youth placements. The purpose of this grant is to pay for salaries of youth participants in the Mayor's Summer Jobs Program yearlong internship for high school youth.
