Requesting approval to appropriate $3,892,796 from the Salary & Wage Stabilization Fund to the Police Department, Other Lump Sum Payments account to fund retroactive payments in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement with the Somerville Police Employees Association.

To the Honorable City Council: The Mayor respectfully requests that this Council appropriate $3,892,796 from the Salary & Wage Stabilization Fund to the Police Department, Personal Services, Other Lump Sum Benefits Account (0121051-519013) to fund the retroactive payments pertaining to the collective bargaining agreement between the City of Somerville and the Somerville Police Employees Association. The retroactive payments cover the periods FY22, 23, 24, and FY25. Appropriate staff will be available to answer any questions you may have. Thank you for your consideration of this matter.
