Requesting approval of a transfer of $448,180 from the Salary Contingency account to various departmental Salaries accounts to fund FY 2026 Non-Union employee step increases.

To the Honorable City Council: The Mayor respectfully requests that this Council approve the transfer of $448,180 from the Salary Contingency Account (0199951-511000) to various departmental Personal Services accounts listed in the attached table to fund non-union employee salary step increases. This appropriation represents funds needed for staffing in FY26 effective July 1, 2025. This amount includes two steps for pay bands I-IV, consistent with the proposed FY26 budget. At budget submission, these funds were allocated to Salary Contingency due to timing. Appropriate staff will be available to address any questions you may have.
