Requesting that this Council convene in Executive Session to discuss techniques for incentivizing tenant recruitment to vacant laboratory space.

To the Honorable City Council:   The Mayor respectfully requests that this Council convene in Executive Session  per G. L. c. 30A, Section 21(a)(6), to discuss available tools and potential strategies for using tax incentives to attract tenants to fill the 1.8M square feet of vacant life science space in the City. Discussion in open session may have a detrimental effect on the negotiating position of the City of Somerville.    Appropriate staff will be available to address any questions you may have.
