Official text

To the Honorable City Council: The Mayor respectfully requests that this Council approve the appropriation of $100,000 from the Somerville Community Benefits Stabilization Fund to the Armory Revolving Fund (Org# 3713), for the purpose of supporting the on-boarding of tenants. The Request for Proposals for Armory tenants is expected to launch in early December, with responses from tenants expected early March. This appropriation would enable the alignment of City stewardship improvements with the selection of tenants. $50,000 of the appropriation would be utilized to bring on a property manager whose primary responsibilities will include tenant engagement, facility management, and staffing the Armory Advisory Board. $30,000 of the appropriation would be utilized to modernize the call box and allow incoming tenants to receive clients and the public at the front door, and the last $20,000 will be for general custodial and maintenance support. Appropriate staff will be available to address any questions you may have. Thank you for your consideration of this item. Respectfully Submitted, Katjana Ballantyne, Mayor
