To the Honorable City Council: The Mayor respectfully requests that this Council accept and approve expending a grant of $50,000.00 from the Boston Office of Emergency Management FY23 Urban Areas Security Initiative Grant to the Somerville Police Department, under the provisions of MGL Chapter 44, Section 53A. This grant does not require the commitment of new matching funds. The purpose of this grant is to pay for target hardening at the Somerville Police Department Headquarters.
