That this City Council calls on the Massachusetts Legislature and Governor to increase Unrestricted General Government Aid (UGGA) by at least 6% in Fiscal Year 2027. UGGA supports core services including public works, public health, libraries, housing stability, police, and firefighting, and strong state aid is essential to sustain core local services without increasing the property tax burden on residents.
