Conveying information regarding changes in positions in the Fiscal Year 2027 budget.

Dear Honorable Members of the City Council: The Mayor respectfully conveys to this Council as a supplement to the Mayor’s proposed FY 2027 budget, a list of the 29 positions that were eliminated, 6 positions that were downgraded, 5 positions that were transferred, and 8 positions that were added in this budget. Reductions to staffing were a last resort after revenue increasing measures, fee increases, use of stabilization funds to pay down debt, operational budget cuts, and use of grant and settlement funds still left a need to reduce more spending to balance the budget. Reductions were made after careful analysis and deliberation to minimize impacts to service delivery. Please let the IGA team know if there are any further questions on any of the above information.
