Requesting ordainment of an amendment to Sections 2.4.6, 3.1.13, 3.2.12, 4.1.10, 4.2.10, 4.3.10, 4.4.10, 5.1.11, 6.1.8, 6.2.9, 6.3.8, 6.4.11, and 6.5.8 of the Zoning Ordinance to simplify regulation of building components.

To the Honorable City Council: The Mayor respectfully submits for this Council’s consideration and ordainment an amendment to Sections 2.4.6, 3.1.13, 3.2.12, 4.1.10, 4.2.10, 4.3.10, 4.4.10, 5.1.11, 6.1.8, 6.2.9, 6.3.8, 6.4.11, and 6.5.8 of the Somerville Zoning Ordinance to simplify the regulation of building components. This amendment consolidates similar building component types, corrects inconsistencies, and permits the addition of conforming building components by right to streamline permitting.
