Requesting approval to accept and expend a $39,000 grant with no new match required, from the Urban Areas Security Initiative (UASI) to the Fire Department for the installation of security cameras for fire stations.

To the Honorable City Council: The Mayor respectfully requests that this Council accept and approve expending a grant of $39,000 from UASI to the Fire Department, under the provisions of MGL Chapter 44, Section 53A. This grant does not require the commitment of new matching funds. The purpose of this grant is to pay for the purchase and installation of exterior security cameras to protect Fire Department stations.
