Requesting approval to accept and expend a $1,873,000 grant with no new match required, from the Department of Housing and Urban Development to the Office of Strategic Planning & Community Development Housing Division for replacing windows in the Mystic River and Mystic View housing developments.

To the Honorable City Council: The Mayor respectfully requests that this Council accept and approve expending a grant of $1,873,000 from the Department of Housing and Urban Development to the Office of Strategic Planning & Community Development Housing Division, under the provisions of MGL Chapter 44, Section 53A. This grant does not require the commitment of new matching funds. The purpose of this grant is to pay for replacing windows on the Interstate 93 Highway exposed side of buildings in the 455‐unit Mystic River and Mystic View housing developments with safe, efficient triple‐glazed windows and frames.
