To the Honorable City Council: The Mayor respectfully requests that this Council accept and approve expending a grant of $24,150.00 fromMetropolitan Mayors Coalition Community Safety Initiative Shannon Grant to the Police Department ,under the provisions of MGL Chapter 44, Section 53A. This grant requires some level of matching funds from the city. The purpose of this grant is to pay for youth violence prevention with a required match of $8,050.00.
