That the Administration update this Council on the contract renewal process with TZE and discuss how the process works.

Allen to discuss the contract renewal process in general. Dir. Allen explained that the bid process outlines renewals for a specific number of years depending on the contract, and that Purchasing asks department heads 3-4 months before a first-year contract expires if they would like to renew. She noted that despite pandemic-related price increases, the city generally requires vendors to stay at the prices listed in their contracts, but that those contracts can allow for things like fuel inflation.\par \cf1\f1\par }

That the Director of Engineering and the Superintendent of Water and Sewer appear before this Council’s Committee on Public Utilities and Public Works to discuss the notification protocols for street work and water shutoffs.
