    26-0525 Grant of Location Recommended to be approved with conditions

    Eversource applying for a Grant of Location to install 318 feet of conduit in Kent Street and Somerville Avenue, from existing Manhole 14831 to point of pickup at 22 Kent Street, and additional conduit from Manhole 14831 to an existing Manhole 8634.

    {\rtf1\ansi\ansicpg1252\deff0\deflang1033{\fonttbl{\f0\froman\fprq2\fcharset0 Times New Roman;}{\f1\fnil\fcharset0 Times New Roman;}} {\colortbl ;\red0\green0\blue0;} \viewkind4\uc1\pard\f0\fs24 Chair Hardt stated that a public hearing was conducted on this item during the April 9, 2026 City Council meeting and it was sent to this Committee for further discussion.\par \par Jacqueline Duffy, representing Eversource, stated that she was contacted by Councilor Scott who had concerns about double pole, and she visited the site and observed the pole referenced, pole 191/0, which is not directly related to this item, and noted that it was dangerously leaning and that the pole will be replaced, adding that the replacement itself will require an outage in the area. Ms. Duffy added that the replacement of pole 191/0 will require a temporary double-pole to allow for the other utilities connected to it to remove or adjust their wires.\par \par \ul Chair Hardt moved to condition the license: That pole 191/0, at the corner of Somerville Avenue and Kent Street, be repaired. The motion was approved on a roll call vote of 3 in favor (Davis, Wheeler, Hardt), 0 opposed.\cf1\ulnone\f1\par }
