Requesting the appropriation of $114,259 from the Community Preservation Act Fund Historic Preservation Reserve to the Somerville Museum for preservation of artifacts in its collection.

To the Honorable City Council: The Mayor respectfully requests that this Council appropriate $114,259 from the Community Preservation Act Fund Historic Preservation Reserve to the Somerville Museum for preservation of artifacts in its collection that are significant to Somerville's history. The appropriation will be allocated to the Historic Preservation CPA category (Fund #3252). The following funding conditions have been placed on the project: Artifacts that have been preserved using CPA funds may not be sold or disposed of without first obtaining City approval. Details of this request including a list of the artifacts to be preserved with this grant are available in the attached funding recommendation from the Community Preservation Committee.
