To the Honorable City Council: The Mayor respectfully requests that this Council appropriate $49,250 from the Energy Stabilization Fund for insulation projects on for DPW steam systems. This includes adding pipe insulation and insulation jackets to piping and equipment in the (3) boiler rooms at 1 Franey Rd (DPW complex). These projects are projected to conserve 4,500 Therm of natural gas annually, eliminating 23,900 kg CO2 emissions and saving the city $5,625 in energy use costs.
